nutrition health, weight lossI  learned recently that the healthiest way to cook is with stainless steel, so today I got online and found this great set of pots and pans that are all stainless steel and I ordered them. We try to eat as healthy as we can, and these were a great value online. After the holidays I took my mom shopping at the mall and looked at stainless steel kitchen cookware, and even on sale, the price for one frying pan was more than the price for this entire set, so I am glad I waited until I found a good deal on a complete set of stainless steel cookware online. The set includes stay-cool handles, tempered glass lids, and a good assortment of saucepans and a larger frying pan. We have switched to grapeseed oil for our frying because it is chemically stable at high temperatures and has no flavor. We stay on top of our nutrition health by eating a balanced diet, and oils and fats are required daily, especially for brain function. We are judicious about the food we eat that has been fried, but once in a while, a homemade fried treat is delicious.

I finally mastered tortilla soup, so instead of paying $6 to $8 a bowl at the local Mexican restaurant, we are eating it at home for pennies. When made at home, it's great for nutrition health because it is so full of vegetables like tomatoes, red peppers, onions, corn, zucchini, and I use fat free chicken broth and skinless chicken breasts to make it too. The oil in the avocados that go on top is so important for nutrition health, and the cheese that's sprinkled over it is loaded with calcium. It's a great soup for weight loss, too, because it has so much fiber in it. When our new pots and pans come, I'll be trying to replicate other recipes, too, that we love to eat out so we save money and calories, too, at home.
