My favorite piece of fitness equipment at the gym is the elliptical machine. I really enjoy the low impact workout I receive from this piece of fitness equipment. I watch the timer and usually go for a minimum of a half hour but often continue to forty-five minutes. By then I have definitely raised my heart rate and worked up a nice sweat.

The results for me of using the elliptical machine has been weight loss and a loss of inches around my midriff and thighs. I can really feel a strengthening of the muscles in my back, bottom, abdomen and legs. When I began I got quite winded but after a short time my cardiovascular strength has improved too. 

Of course there are other pieces of fitness equipment available at the gym but I wanted to start out with something I really liked so I would stick with it. Soon, I will venture out and try other machines as I add more workouts to my weekly routine. I would also like to try some of the organized fitness classes. Thanks to the weight loss I have achieved so far I am motivated to keep at it and add on!
