Yoga and Pilates can Contribute to Weight Loss |

If you are trying to get involved in an exercise program for weight loss then yoga or pilates may be for you. I have been doing yoga and pilates for years. The workout focuses on your core. I have gained muscle strength, stability and flexibility with these two practices. The added bonus was weight loss!
The routines of a yoga or pilates workout are easy to follow although for a newcomer they may be challenging. The word is challenging but not daunting. The moves can be done and a good instructor will show different positions for the beginner, intermediate and advanced students. Everyone should be able to participate in the same class doing the routines at their own level of expertise.
All I can say is don't be intimidated by the yoga or pilates routines. I was extremely pleased at how quickly I got the moves and they became easier to achieve. As my body got stronger and I experience weight loss I was so motivated to continue. These classes are really wonderful for the body and the spirit. I always leave feeling great! |
